How do I get Instagram on my IPod touch 4th generation??

I want to get Instagram on my IPod touch 4th gen but the app store says I cannot because I need IOS.7 and my IPod software is up to date at 6.1.6. How do I get Instagram on my IPod touch 4th gen??
