find my friends issue

I have recently turned on find my friends, and shared my location with someone. They could see me perfectly on there phone, and was watching where i was going, then all of a sudden, roughly a half and hour later, the text me saying they cant see me anymore on there screen, my name wasnt even in the friends list. Is there any explanation to why i disappeared?
