My Apple Watch Gets My Texts & SMS but won't appear on my iPhone its synced with

This doesn't happen all the time but this is seriously annoying. I check my phone before I check my watch. Sometimes the watch will get all my text messages and my iPhone will miss say 1-3 of the texts but my watch will get them. But my watch won't notify me that they got them. So I end up missing texts cause its not appearing on my iphone6 I have it attached to the watch. This is a business phone so when I miss texts it cost me money. So how do I fix this so that the paired iPhone is getting all the text messages like it used to. I have had to make sure to check my iwatch first before my phone and this to me is very annoying. As I want my phone to be the main thing I text from. Can anyone help?

Hi

How notifications behave depends on the status of your devices. In order to bring notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

- If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.

- If your iPhone is locked or asleep and your watch is unlocked (regardless of whether the watch screen is asleep or awake) and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.

- If your watch is locked or has Do Not Disturb enabled, notifications will go to your iPhone.

You will find that if you turn off Wrist Detection (on your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Wrist Detection) it will cause all notification alerts to be delivered to both devices. However, you will not then be able to benefit from features including Apple Pay and a single unlock after placing the watch on your wrist.
