I am trying to create a Book in iPhoto. I can set the background colour but this does not seem to work between the photos which seems to default to white. How can I make the background colour work between the photos?

Thanks LarryHN, very helpful. It is annoying though- it used to be that the background colour went across all the background which enhanced the photos. Shame Apple seem to have lost that now! Sigh
Try a different theme for the book.
The "Contemporary" theme for example does not have the thin while lines.
Thanks for the suggestion but the Contemporary template is very limited in the number of photos you can add per page. This is now much worse than it used to be - it is a shame that the background colour in most templates won't go between the photos any more. I am now exploring using alternative photo book providers instead of Apple which is not at all like me! Sigh.
Dear Apple if you are reading this please revert to the old version. I for one would be happy to pay a bit more for added flexibility - I think you are losing design capability to keep it all down to a price.
