Q: Macbook Bootcamp fail - partition lost
Hello Everyone!
I hope someone can help me with this problem, I tried so many things already, but couldn't solve it.
I have a Macbook Air (early 2014), and I tried to install windows 10 via Bootcamp. I already did it earlier once, but the partition's size was too small so I deleted it and tried to reinstall. But as stupid as I am, I forgot to put he macbook onto the charger, and it shut down halfway through the installation. When I turned it on again, the space for the windows partition were subtracted form the macintosh partition, but I can't find it anywhere. The Disk Utility does not see it, I can see the 48 GB space in the terminal and in the Recovery Mode Disk Utility, but can't reach it, and can't give it back to the Macintosh HD partition.
First, I tried the Bootcamp assistant, but the option for deleting Windows partition wasn't available. Then I tried to resize the mac partition with the Recovery System, I could resize the APPLE SSD to 120 GB in Recovery Mode, but couldn't do it with the Macintosh HD partition. The first aid does nothing.
I tried to solve the problem with the terminal, using the diskutil cs list and after that, the diskutil cs resizeStack 72ECA04F-9827-4EC8-B070-E92563E749E8 0g commands, but the answer was the following all the time:
The Core Storage Logical Volume UUID is 72ECA04F-9827-4EC8-B070-E92563E749E8
Started CoreStorage operation
Error: -69674: The provided Core Storage logical volume has an incorrect size; you should run whole-disk repair
I tried to use the diskutil repairVolume and repairDisk commands, didn't work. The repairVolume said it can't find the volume, when I copy-pasted it.
I can continue this list about what I already tried to the eternity, but nothing I found in here on in other sites in the past 3 days could solve the problem.
Can anyone help me with this? It doesn't matter if I have to reinstall the complete Macbook and lose everything I had in it cuz I already saved every important thing to a HDD, so pls, if anyone has any idea, tell me.
For example, if I download an OS X installer to an usb or an other hard drive, and I reinstall the operation system from it, can it work?
Thank you for your help in advance!
