Jan 23, 2016 9:52 AM in response to Tesseraxby Oxana Mullins,Thanks for trying, however this isn't my issue. Until recently when choosing AirPlay from our devices we were given the choices of our Apple TVs or Airport Express. The Apple TVs are still there as a choice, however, the Airport Express choice is no longer there. Why would this be?
Since this problem started, I've downloaded the latest software for the Airport Express and restarted it. However, this has not helped.

Jan 23, 2016 9:57 AM in response to Oxana Mullinsby Tesserax,As you are aware, the AirPort Express and the Apple TV, are both AirPlay playback devices. What we need to figure out now why your Express is not performing as such.
Which exact model of the Express base station do you have? How is it connected to your network ... by Ethernet or wireless? What are the make & models of each of your other pieces of networking hardware (i.e., modem, other routers, etc.?)
Is the Express configured to join an existing Wi-Fi network provided by another wireless router or to extend its range? Finally, where is the Express located in relation to the other networking hardware? Same room, different room, different floor?

Jan 23, 2016 10:57 AM in response to Tesseraxby Oxana Mullins,Our Express is connected by Ethernet and we use it as our only router. We've had this set up for over a year now and everything was working great. We have 3 Apple TVs that we play videos on (and they continue to work just fine). The Extreme is hooked up to our whole house speaker system (we have Control 4 System), and we played music from our other devices through the speakers through AirPlay. And that is the part that is no longer an option for some reason...
Model is AirPort Extreme 802.11ac. and the latest version of the firmware is 7.7.3

Jan 23, 2016 11:34 AM in response to Oxana Mullinsby Tesserax,Our Express is connected by Ethernet and we use it as our only router.
Is this Express connected directly to the Internet modem then? ... and you are saying that this is the only base station being used as a router?
The Extreme is hooked up to our whole house speaker system (we have Control 4 System), and we played music from our other devices through the speakers through AirPlay.
... did you mean Express or do you have an AirPort Extreme as well? How is this being used in your network configuration if the Express is the "only router?"
Sorry, although I am aware of Control 4 products, I'm not familiar with their operation, especially how they work with Apple products so I may not be able to help much here. At best I can assist with your network setup with your Apple base stations to make sure they are configured properly. FWIW. Both the Express and the Apple TVs use AirPlay for receiving audio/video streaming. I can only assume that your Control 4 devices may as well.

Jan 26, 2016 6:19 AM in response to Tesseraxby Oxana Mullins,Sorry for the confusion - no, we do not have Express, we only have Extreme. And yes, it is connected directly to our modem.
Our internet works great, Apple TVs work great, it's only the music streaming that stopped working (from our iPhones, iPads or MacBook going through Extreme to Control 4 Speakers System).

Jan 26, 2016 10:42 AM in response to Oxana Mullinsby Tesserax,Ok, in this case the AirPort Extreme is only providing the Wi-Fi network in which AirPlay requires to stream over. The Extreme is not an AirPlay client like the Express.
That would mean your Control4 system is what needs to receive the AirPlay stream. I assume that you are using the Control4 Wireless Music Bridge for this. According to the link, you would need to install the MyHome app to stream from either an OS X or iOS device. Is this true in your case?
If so, again I am not familiar with this product, so I do not know how this app uses AirPlay. I am assuming that it works independently of iTunes. If that is the case the issue is, most likely, the configuration of this app with the music bridge. Since you don't have either an AirPort Express or an Apple TV, I won't be able to help you test, whether or not, AirPlay is working.
