Airdrop Device Name

Can my airdrop use the name I have given my device? It lists my name and my device, but not the name I have given my device from the system preferences folder. For example, I have two MacBooks and when I try to airdrop I cannot distinguish between the two there. It just refers to them as macbook, not the name I have given them.
