IMac A1311 October 2009 Model- Teal color lines with weird symbols,hangs on white screen

Recently moved and unpacked my Mac After a move, and now it won`t boot. I tried to reinstall El Capitan and now all it does is lockup on a white screen. I checked the hard drive and it seems fine. There are no noises from the hard drive that suggest failure. I upgraded it to a 2 TB drive. I upgraded to 12 GB of ram, and pulled the ram out to check and see if that would be an issue. It was working fine before the move, don't know if anyone has any insight on what might be wrong. I am no longer in the US so I don't know if I can take it to a Apple Store in Europe. I know it is out of warranty, just trying to fix it if I can. Or if it might have been caused from the moving around I would like to know.
