I did some digging, and it looks to be a phone home to verify that your device is authorised for home sharing. Do you use home sharing?

I wouldn't worry about it either way - pancake.apple.com is legitimate and it's only an authorisation server. I'd allow any outgoing connections to it in order to make sure your iTunes/home sharing content works properly.

Do eany of you know what rtcreportingd.ips is? I am seeing a latest crash-rtcreportingd.ips. There is no information attached to it. Is this something to be concerned about? I have researched things that are relating back to Mikito, Springyomize which are jail break softeares. This diagnostic report is only on my iPad.

That is probably a connection that has something to do with securing Netflix content. For a while Apple and Netflix working on a plug-in to protect Netflix content.

Same here (request for rtcreportingd to connect to pancake.apple.com recently popped up (Little Snitch)

And I have never had Netflix or activated Home Sharing.

Any other guesses?
