Set a sleep timer for music playing on apple tv 3?

Is there no way to tell an Apple TV to stop playing afte so many minutes?

i'd like a sleep timer like on iPhone, clock radio, etc to have the Apple TV stop playing

aafter the timer expires.

i turn the tv off and turn a sleep timer on my receiver, but would like the Apple TV to go to sleep also.

the only thing I think may work is to AirPlay from my ipad to the Apple TV and have the clock app

stop playing music when the timer expires.

you can get ac power bars where you connect the tv to a special plug and if the tv turns off the power bar cut ac to all connected devices

The tv is not on at all to start. I never have the tv on when playing music, I just use the remote app to control the atv.

I Never have the tv on when just playing music which is 99% usage of the atv.

That has nothing to do with my request. I want to start playing music and have it stop after 1 hour. That sleep timer doesn't activate if the music is playing. It would only start timing after the music is paused. I want it to play music for a set amount of time and stop, likeusing the timer app on an iphone or like a clock radio.

I think apple is ignorant of using this device forany application where yu are just playing music.

It is not a clock radio.

Now consider this workaround:

Set your ATV sleep timer to the minimum 15 minutes and select a playlist which you make up in advance.

Make several and call them 1 hour, and select 1 hours's worth of music.

Play the playlist and hit the pillow.

In one hour the music stops and 15 minutes later the ATV goes off.
