Bad Wifi when Router operates in 11bgn mixed Mode

I always have to run our wifi in 11bg mixed mode, which significantly decreases the transfer rate.

As soon as I active 11bgn mixed mode in the router settings, the iPhone 6 won´t get a constant connection anymore. No matter how close to the router I am.

The MacBook Pro early 2011 or the PlayStation 4 have absolutely no problems, no matter which mode I´ve activated.

Looking forward for getting some help here.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2

Hi there OlDirty,

It sounds like when your router has the N band broadcasting your phones network connection is spotty at best. I would suggest using step 5 and 6 from the following article first:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

If the issue persists then I would next setup the router with the recommended settings for iOS and Mac OS devices to help rule out other factors:

Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
