iPad Air 2 Airdrop cannot see others except other iPad Air 2

I recently got an iPad Air 2 Wifi 16GB. It is currently in iOS 9.2.1.

I cannot seem to find or be found by my iPhone 6 or Macbook retina using Airdrop.

I also tried it on my friend's iPhone 6 plus and Macbook Air and the problem still persist.

However, I could find her iPad Air 2 and vice versa. And her iPad Air 2, also recently bought, has the same problem as mine.

Is this a bug occuring on iPad Air 2? Since the Airdrop between our iPhones and Macs works fine.

I tried the following:

1. Turned all wireless off and on

2. Restart device

3. Sign out and in of iCloud

Are there anything else I could try?
