Q: MagSafe 1 Replacement Program
Yesterday my "L" MagSafe 1 stopped working and now I can no longer used my 2010 Macbook pro. (see photo)
I live in the EU, and I recently read about the replacement program which took place in the US only (from my understanding- About Apple's Power Adapter Replacement Program --- US Only - Apple Support) but that ended in 2014. I did have the issue at the time as the wire began to unwrap... I thought the mesh wire which was visible was only a sort of protection for the cable to give it strength.. but now I know it's the actual power. I never got shocked or anything by it.
Where can I get this replaced? and/or fixed.. My Mackbook had an additional 3 year Apple Care which has expired. ?
Additional Information:
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)
- See coverage image (I checked my serial number)
P.s. I did not use a screwdriver in the photo on my adopter or laptop, I am not an electrician and I am not going to risk damaging my macbook or electrocuting myself
MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9)
