Why, since I've upgraded to El Capitan, can I no longer drag and drop mail attachments from finder to my mail icon shortcut in the finder toolbar? When I do, I get an symbol that indicated that I can't drop the file there. This was a most convenient short cut for me.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
How did you get the icon in the Finder window toolbar? Are you using some type of extension?

Hi - I had never heard of this trick but cannot get it to work with the Toolbar, nor the Sidebar, using OSX 10.11.3. The 'Share' button in the Toolbar might provide a reasonable alternative. i.e. - highlight the file you want, then click the 'Share' button and select Mail. Another option is to drag-and-drop onto the Mail icon in the dock.
