Themes / Fonts don't show up in certain books only on Phone

Hello, I downloaded the Harry Potter iBook series on my iPhone. When I opened one of the books I noticed the themes and fonts slections in the aA tab don't show up. I checked my other books not in the series and the options were there. Then I downloaded the series on my ipad and the options showed up. I've tried many things to fix this problem but nothing has worked, I've tried deleting and reinstalling the books, rebooting my phone, etc.

I would appreciate any help and hope someone has an answer. There doesnt seem to be anyone online who has had this problem. Have a good day.
