ERROR when updating MAC Office to 14.6

Was having issues getting into Excel and Word my mac would tell me there is not enough space ( there is plenty of space ).

I opened up the update software for Microsoft AutoUpdate and downloaded the next version Office 2011 14.6.0 Update

On installation it tells me " The Installation Failed, The installer can't create the folder "/var/folders/b3/sx98bfns04x8b7zx_9xx39mr0000gn/T//Install.1055xa4aPi"

What does this mean?

null-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
