Restrictions on Apple TV asks for a password just to open an app not to edit content

I'm trying to set up restrictions on Apple TV for my 9 year old daughter. However, despite being asked to set what type of strictions for movies or music videos for example, it ends up that I have to submit the password just to open Netflix for example. This is not helpful, as my child will ask me to input the password which she can see easily. I'd like it to ask for a password if my child tries to watch an inappropriate movie according to how I set the restrictions. Help!
