Why is my Iphone 6s saying that I used 44.59gb of documents and data when I haven't? Recently updated to iOS 9.2.1 and having problems.

Connect your phone to your computer's iTunes and see what the capacity bar at the bottom of the screen shows for storage. You may have a large amount of "other" data which could indicate a corrupt sync or a corrupt update. If you backed up with iTunes before you updated, try restoring from the backup.

Sorry, you did state that and I missed it. Try this of you haven't done so already, force restart the phone and then look again.

To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Did you backup the phone before you updated the iOS? If you backed up first, restore the backup. That might fix it.

Tap on the first "Manage Storage" and it will list every app and how much storage it is using. By tapping on an app it will show the allocation in Documents & Data for that app.

What does it add up to?

It almost seems like you have corrupt data that is taking up space

Back up to iTunes

Restore the phone as new

Check to see what the storage is

Then restore from backup

If the problem recurs then you may have something corrupt in the backup

At a quick look, that doesn't add up to 2GB of documents and data. Did you backup before you updated and did you try restoring that backup?

I've same problem on iPhone 6 after updating to iOS 9.2.1? Does anyone has any effective solution to this? Almost 21+GB chunk of data is being shown under "Documents & Data" in iTunes? Please help!

I have a 128gb iPhone 6 and after updating to 9.2.1 I have the same problem. I deleted some long videos and I can actually watch it disappearing in the Storage settings. Something definitely wrong with the update
