Q: Magic Mouse 2 keeps losing connection

i can't tell if this started with the recent 10.11.3, or not. but, it's driving me nuts. i was at first able to tolerate it, but i'm not today. this morning, it seems like i'm now losing connections 2-3 times per hour. usually it takes about 10 seconds to reconnect, but sometimes faster (once even almost within a single second). when i first got the mouse for xmas, it seemed to work fine - never had a surprise disconnection. battery is sitting at 55%, so it shouldn't be that.

any ideas on this? again, this is a magic mouse *TWO* - so, no where to cram paper in to form a better connection with removable batteries. anyone else having this problem?

Try resetting the PRAM. If that does not help, I would suspect the mouse is failing.

actually, to follow up. i noticed today, that while i was using my mouse and streaming audio to my bluetooth audio reciever - *both* disappeared at the same time. audio would stop suddenly, but itunes is still play, *and* the mouse was disconnected. then, they both came back at the same time.

with this, my problem might be failing bluetooth in my macbook pro, OR some kind of flaw with the 10.11.3 update. i did not notice this problem before this update, but i can't be sure it didn't happen. i have both reset PRAM, and reset the SMC - neither seems to have worked. the SMC reset at first seemed like it had worked, but just had a brief dropout again, so likely not.

My Magic Mouse 2 intermittently drops off, but it takes the iMac down too as within a minute the computer shuts down. The computer turns itself back on but really really frustrating...

The 27" iMac with keyboard and mouse are a new purchase in January 2016. It is a Late 2015 model. Regina 5K. It just should not happen!

    Battery is sitting at 95%.

It is happening way to often now.

Anyone else  found a solution yet?
