Hi,
I updated my macbook pro to 10.7.5 and i also was required to update my iPhoto. Whilst updating my iPhoto it stopped half way through with a warning saying it cannot update. However when i look at my info my iPhoto has been updated to 9.2.1. However the app will not open…. when i click it all it does is bounce up and down?
Please help!!!

You must have iPhoto 9.6.1 to run iPhoto under El Captain - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html
However iPhoto is a dead horse and it is better to migrate to Photos and learn it (it is a new program with a new learning curve) as it is generally better than iPhoto and is the future of Apple Photos management

Try running the following updaters in order to get from 9.2.1 to the latest version that will run on 10.7.5, iPhoto 9.4.3:
- update to iPhoto 9.3
- update to iPhoto 9.3.2
- update to iPhoto 9.4
- and finally to iPhoto 9.4.3
Iphoto will not open!
