iBooks app taking over 1 minute to load a book

Has anyone else noticed a degradation in iBooks performance since 9? I have. I was hoping the latest upgrade would solve the latest problem of the time it takes to load a book I've been reading. I'll exit the app, but when going back in, I often times end up with the white screen before it loads the cover page before it finally gets to my last location. So far it hasn't "lost track" of where I was reading, it's just that getting there can take over a timed minute to access. Book size in bytes doesn't seem to really make a difference.
