inactive iCloud in Yosemite

Hi,

iCloud is inactive in both my Admin and Std accounts. However, every time I sign to my Admin acoount, 3 screens pop up, one after another.

the first says "iCloud Password -> Please enter your password for (my email address). 2nd screen says the same thing, and the 3rd says "This Mac

cannot connect to iCloud because of a problem with (my email address -> Go to Preferences, etc" Ususally, I just click cancel or later or whatever

causes the screen to disappear. If I go to Preferences, I'm shown a screen that shows says "iCloud is Inactive" and tries to get me to activate. I just close it.

I don't know if this is a problem with the system, with iCloud, with my Admin account, but it happens everytime i sign in and is a pain. Can Someone tell me what's happening here and how I can resolve/fix it?

Thanks --

Try this.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Move the following to the Trash and restart.

Close all running apps. Put the following items in the trash:

1) In the ~/Library/ folder, put the Caches folder in the trash.

2) In the ~/Library/Application Support/ folder, put the folder iCloud in the trash.

3) In the ~/Library/Preferences/ folder, put the file MobileMeAccounts.plist in the trash.

I can't find the "Show Library Folder" option. It keeps trying to get me to sign into my original Gmail account - but I changed it to my newest Yahoo address because of a stalker.

User uploaded file

Under "Internet Accounts"- when i click on "iCloud account inactive" It says:

"Only your primary account can use iCloud for Safari, Photos, ... etc.

User uploaded file

But that IS my main email address. I don't know what to do.

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is marked solved, less people are likely to look at it. A new post would be much more visible. You can link to this one.

To get the Show Library function, you need to select your user/home folder, not your all files folder.

Have you signed out of iCloud and then signed in with your new ID?
