Crash Report

Some of you have been very kindly helping me with my iMac and the random crashes that have been

recurring. I received a crash report today and it is pasted below. Perhaps someone can decipher if

there is an obvious problem that I am overlooking? Thanks very much!

panic(cpu 1 caller 0xffffff7f9d35c8a1): NVRM[0/2:0:0]: Read Error ...

I think your hardware is failing.

While I'm not sure, I think "NVRM" above is the non-volatile RAM on the motherboard. The panic is because there was an error trying to read it (again, I'm assuming 'it' is the non-volatile RAM).

I would make Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store to have your Mac evaluated. Point out the panic report(s). The evaluation is free. Repairs will cost, but if you Apple Care, or are still under warranty, repair should it be necessary, should be covered.

Thank you Bob. Wow, I really hope that this is not the case, ouch, but thankful there are people here to warn me

about such a possible scenario. I really, really don't have the $$ for a new computer right now, having to buy a new camera, a new computer will have to wait, at least a year, maybe longer. :-/
