Q: Recording volume too low on iPad.

I have been trying to record as I play on my electronic keyboard. The mic level on my iPad 4 seems to be too low. There is no way to adjust it either. Even after putting the keyboard volume to max and setting the iPad on the speaker with the mic facing down into the speaker, the recorded sound is extremely quiet. It isn't a hardware problem since I can use FaceTime, dictation, or record audio with other apps without issues.

I noticed many reviews in the app store complaining of the same issue. It seems to be mostly iPads. There are people that specifically mentioned having problems with iPad 4, iPad 2, iPad mini 2 and iPad Air. Some said they did not have the same issue when using their iPhone 6, or iPod Touch. Any thoughts or suggestions?

iPad Air 2, 9.2.1, still nothing ("too quiet"). I hope we get a fix for this soon. I have tried multiple reinstalls, both full iPad resets and app reinstalls, connecting and disconnecting from iCloud, etc. I've tried in disappointment too many times, I guess I'll just have to wait for an update or just forget about it since it's not working properly.

Bought my first iPad in Dec 15, iPad Air 2, now running IOS 9.2.1. Not sure what it came loaded with. Music Memo has never worked, in the sense that I always get the "too quiet" message, and playback is volume is barely in the audible range.

I also have Garageband, Capture Duo and Capture (Presonus) installed on the iPad and they all work fine.

I have Music Memo on my iPhone 5c also, and it works fine.

Problem is with Music Memo on the iPad.

Anyone else having success with Music Memos 1.0.1 and iOS9.3?  I've updated my iPad and the issue seems to be resolved.

Yes, finally hunky-dory here also, for the first time. Just upgrading my iPad Air's Music Memos to 1.0.1 hadn't done the trick, but adding the iOS upgrade did. Now the thing even hears and records my lousy voice a cappella.
