Q: iTunes won't let me drag and drop albums to my iPhone

using iTunes on my macbook, it won't let me change settings to manually manage music, and when I try to transfer items it gives me a message that my iCloud music prevents this. I want to get iCloud out of my iTunes! the matching service didn't transfer everything from my library and I want to add these to my phone. I turned off iCloud and iCloud music in my phone's settings, so how do I get my macbook's iTunes to let me manage my music manually again!?!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2

    Hi jasmine1987,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with iTunes and iTunes Match/iCloud Music Library. You are correct that if you are using the iCloud Music Library, you will not be able to manually manage your music:

By default, iTunes manages the content of your iTunes library (including your music, TV shows, movies, and more) manually, which gives you control over the content you want to take with you on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This is useful if your iTunes library contains more items than can fit on your device.

If you're a member of Apple Music or have an iTunes Match subscription, you have iCloud Music Library turned on. When you have iCloud Music Library turned on, you can't manually manage music.

If you are having issues with iTunes Match, or alternately would like to turn off iCloud Music Library, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful:
