hide or show frequently visited sites in Safari on OS X

Hi everyone,

I saw many instructions (mostly on iOS where this is possible directly from the settings section for Safari) on how to deal (read: hide) frequently visited sites on the Favorites tab but couldn't find any for Safari on OS X (except that one could delete those frequently visited sites individually). Today I discovered that right clicking on the page that shows when a new tab with Favorites is opened brings a menu that reads "Show Frequently Visited Sites". One can activate this (marked by a tick) or deactivate this (no tick). Hope that helps some of you.

Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan-OTHER, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), null
