Q: iMessage unavailable.  Cellular Data IS ON.

My iMessage was off for some reason.  I tried to turn it on but it said iMessage Unavailable Turn on cellular data; however, cellular data is on.  (I did try turning it off and back on as well as turning off my phone).  Suggestions?

    Hello Jacquelyn,

I understand that you are unable to activate iMessage and you are sure that Cellular Data is turned on. While that is one part of the puzzle, let's look at some additional troubleshooting to get this working for you.

The next thing to check is at Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure it is set to Automatically. If it is all good there, try turning off iMessage, restarting your iPhone and then turning it back on. If that does not work, make sure you are up to date with the software on your iPhone and make sure that your iPhone is provided to receive SMS message. If still waiting to activate after 24 hours, I would contact Apple Support for further assistance. Take a look at the article below for more details.
