Q: iCloud Photo upload is completely stuck on iphone5s ios 9.0.2. No photo uploaded ! Why?

Hi all,

 

Before posting this i've to say i "lurked" all previous post about this really, really annoying problem.

 

The iPhone5s (ios 9.0.2) of my wife is completely stuck on uploading about 1651 photos to icloud. No photos have been uploaded as today.

Total size of photos is more than 7Gigabytes so i upgraded my iCloud Photo storage to 50GB to be sure

 

I tried :

 

1) Turning phone on and off

2) Turning iCloud photo on and off

3) Checking and marking at least one photo with a "heart"(like) to "toggle" uploads

4) Deleting "recently deleted" photos

5) Checking options "optimize iphone storage" and deselecting it after one hour

6) Turning wi fi on and off.

 

What ELSE should i do (apart upgrading to ios 9.2.1 ?   ) i think i followed all advices.

 

Thanks in advance.

 

P.S.

But if i move all this photo to a folder in my PC/MAC and then i upload them MANUALLY to my icloud photo via Web Browser, will i be able to see my photo in camera roll linked to photostream ?

    I wouldn't really advise doing anything until you have updated your iOS software.

    I added into existing post as my issue looks basically the same. Major difference is I have 5S still on 8.3, and also I have almost zero free space in iPhone at all.

    I enabled iCloud and Photo Library on another phone I have (4S) also with 8.3, and it started copying photos, then reducing size of existing one. I releases a lot of space then was able to execute iOS upgrade. But from some reason it doesn't work on 5S. When I put photos to the iCloud from PC, I can see them in the phone, but no other way around. I performed the same steps as mentioned above, playing with all switches and settings, and tricks I found, including soft/hard reset. No reaction - xxxx photos to be sent.

    Cannot upgrade the iOS without having the space, don't have a space without pushing photos into iCloud. $22.

     

    Please advice if there is any possibility to make it working.

    I'm considering to remove photos manually, then put them into the cloud., then I can have them in the phone back. But it is not the solution, as each new photo will not be synchronized and I have to track it manually.
