Q: Itunes is not getting artwork for albums I'm importing manually.

Since updating iTunes, I cannot get artwork for albums I'm importing manually using a CD and I have no idea what the problem is.

 

These are albums, such as David Bowie's 'Blackstar', that are definitely in the iTunes database.

 

When I select 'Get Album Artwork', nothing happens, no artwork is added. When I try and manually enter artwork by finding a picture on the internet, after I click 'OK' after editing the album's information the same thing happens; no artwork is added.

 

This is very annoying. What is the issue here?

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. 

     

    I see that you are missing album artwork in iTunes. The following articles could help you sort out how to get the artwork back. 

    iTunes 11 for Mac: Add artwork to songs and other items

     

    If you are using iTunes Match, follow these steps:

    If the artwork for some of your albums or songs is missing

    1. Open iTunes on your computer. Make sure that you have the latest version.
    2. Right-click or Control-click on the album that has artwork missing.
    3. Click Get Album Artwork. To select more than one album, hold down the command key and click additional albums. iTunes adds the album artwork. 
    4. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library.
    5. After iTunes Match has finished updating, open the Music app on your iOS device.
    6. Find the the songs that are missing artwork, and delete them from your device.
    7. Tap the download icon   to the right of the song to download the song again from iCloud Music Library.
