I am unable to send iMessage because the recipient's phone number is "not registered" even though I've successfully iMessaged the same phone number in the past week.

How do I correct this intermittent problem with iMessage? How do I "register" someone's phone number with iMessage?

Hey aggiedoc69,
I understand that you are having an issues with sending an iMessage to a friend of yours. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.
One thing to try is to delete the conversation that you have with this person and send a message to them in a new conversation. Take a look at the article for this and additional troubleshooting options. You might also want to suggest that your friend try these steps as well.

I tried everything you and the article suggested, and the problem is still there. It's not on my cell phone, just my MacBook Pro. I've had this same problem with it intermittently for quite a while. Suddenly when I try to message people I've messaged successfully in the past, they go undelivered. For whatever reason, it may work the next time I try it.
