Syncing CDs from "recently added" music to iPhone??

I am having trouble syncing recently added music to my iPhone. I have purchased some CDs at Target and uploaded to my iTunes on my Mac. I have the most up to date software on both iTunes and iPhone. I have an iPhone 6s and have plenty of room. I searched some questions and they recommend turning off live updating from the smart playlist "recently added". Under the playlist section on the side bar, it only has one of those albums I want on there. I turned off the live updating. However, when I click on playlists next to my music under the tabs at the top. There is a clock type icon and all the albums/artists that won't load are listed there. I can't seem to find a place to turn off live updating from here and can't get all these albums from the past 3 months to add to my iPhone. Any suggestions beyond what I have done? Someone also suggested to take off all music from phone and sync then try again to sync it all back on. It won't sync when I put sync all music or if I try to sync just certain playlists/artists/albums then those albums aren't even in the list to choose from...

Hello Andy00719,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

If you want to simply sync music from your iTunes library on your Mac to your iPhone, then you can either have the option to manually manage the content and click and drag the music to your iPhone, or configure the music to sync in your sync settings. For more information on how to sync with iTunes on your Mac, please follow through the support links below.
