Q: After loading 9.2.1 on my iPad 3, the slide no longer controls the volume.  Must change setting to lock rotation.  Why?  I don't want to lock the rotation.

After loading 9.2.1 on my iPad 3, I can no longer control the sound volume with the slide. I must change the settings to lock rotation.  Why?  I don't want to lock the rotation.  Can I restore the ability to have volume and rotation?
