i have the new AppleTV 64gb and today anything I try to watch on Netflix has subtitles! I've tried turning them off in the settings on AppleTV but there are still subtitles. I have just done a system update hoping it would fix it but they are still there
There's a few people experiencing issues with Netflix in various ways on the new Apple TV's. Have you tried force quitting the app, press the home button twice, select the app and swipe up on the touch pad. You can then try re-launching the app in the usual way.
I have the same problem as Ninja kitty.
I have turned sub-titles off in the Apple TV set up menu, but I still get them when using Netflix. When I go back to set up for Apple TV, they are turned back on! I have turned them off several times now.
I have restarted the apple tv. I have deleted and re-downloaded Netflix. Nothing helps. I can find nothing in the Netflix app to turn off the sub titles.

I Would recommend adjusting you account settings on the Netflix website. It takes all of 1 minute and the worst outcome is that the issue remains. Best outcome is your issue goes away. Why not try and see?
im online at my account and there are no settings that can be changed and nothing mentioned in there help sections!! Tearing my hair out now..... I'm live chatting to Netflix so will post the outcome of this issue!
Yes I did turn them off in the settings on Appletv but new gen has a touch pad on remote different from the silver one that you slide over the circle. I've turned down the sensitivity but still switches them on in the drop down menu whilst you are in app which obviously what happened. it's so sensitive that it flicks on and off even when you brush against it and Pressing the middle button doesnt work on new one like it does on the old remote And with a far bigger touch area it's tricky! its safe to say I'm not that keen on the new remote!!
netflix.com then open "account settings" then click on your profile then scroll down to "playback settings"
Have you adjusted the setting on the Netflix website? From my understanding Netflix uses the setting from their system rather that the ATV setting...
I Have not changed any settings online. I've even deleted Netflix and reinstalled and it's still the same!! Was working fine 2 days ago!!

its not to do with the online settings it's on the Apple TV

I have to agree with you about the remote. I keep it on the side to use with Siri, but most of the time I used my older silver remote.
