Q: Spotlight results linked to wrong files

Computer: Mid 2011 iMac, 21.5 Inch, 2.5 Ghz i5, 16 GB Ram, AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB, OS 10.11.2

Problem:

I have recently run into a problem with Spotlight where I can search for a file ('112997' in this case) and it is displaying the files I am looking for but they are linked to the wrong files. Instead of opening the file I am looking for, it will sometimes open a font file, image file, or something else completely. All the files that I am looking for are on a NAS network storage drive and they were showing up just fine before. As a temporary work around, I can open Easy Find (http://www.devontechnologies.com/download/products.html) and search for items on the network drive and it works just fine. Is there a setting I can change to where my search results come back and link to the correct file? Thanks,
