Q: Numbers!

Say, who was it programmed this thing anyway?  The simplest calculation of two times two doesn't even work  I enter the cell letter and number and attempt to multiply it by another cell and I get some weird product.  I think Microsoft did a much better job on this.  Is this a poor excuse by apple to come up with something, or is it just a ploy to get people to buy yet another "App"

This numbers app seems to be an unnecessarily  complicated and dysfunctional piece of software.
