Q: iPhone 6s 9.2.1 not compatible with iTunes 12.2.2?
Hi,
I have been trying to connect my iPhone 6s running on OS 9.2.1 to a mid 2011 MacBook Air running on OS X Lion 10.7.5 to get music onto my phone.
It comes up with a message saying that my phone is not compatible with the current iTunes and to update it. I had updated itunes to 12.2.2 and when I check to see if there's any new updates it says that it's up to date.
It's still coming up with the message that my phones not compatible but there's no new updates.
Would the fact that the Mac is running on Lion be preventing my phone from connecting or the new iTunes update to appear (I believe there's 12.2.3?). We are hesitant to update the Mac to OS X El Capitan due to all the bad things said about it but considering it is now in its 10.11.3 version would this work well on this older MacBook Air?
Any other ideas why this is acting this way?
Thanks!
iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2.1
