Q: El Capitan Upgrade lost iTunes

I recently upgraded to OS X El Capitan and now i only have a fraction of my iTunes library showing. HELP! How can i get all my music back?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with iTunes after a recent OS upgrade. I'm a bit unclear on your exact configuration, but I'm sure we can help you out, or at least get you pointed in the right direction. If you have been using iTunes with a standard/local library (all files stored directly on computer) and some or all of them are not showing up now in iTunes, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:
