Q: Password issues

I just bought a used 13.5in macbook pro with a forgotten password. I erased the the drive and let it download files from the internet. Now it still wants a password that i do not know. How do i get it to continue doing whatever it needs to do to finish reinstalling is x so I can use it? Right now it's nothing but an expensive paperweight!
