Q: Safari bug: can't establish secure connection & Search bar issue
I am hosting a wiki server on one of my macs and have secured it with a self-signed certificate (the one generated by the Server application). Since a couple of days ago (upgrade to 10.11.3 could be the culprit), Safari can't establish a secure connection any more. Funnily, this kind of coincides with the search box issue as well which has been documented elsewhere.
I have double-checked, that the certificate is marked as 'always trusted' in my keychain. I can access the wiki perfectly from e.g. Firefox.
Isn't it a paradox, that I have to use third-party software to access an Apple software solution...?
Please let me know if you have had the same problems and if you managed to resolve it.
Thanks

OK, found the solution:
- on your client computer (not the one which is hosting the wiki) go into Keychain Access
- find all relevant certificates (machine up to issuing authority)
- Delete them
- load your website again. BUT make sure it's not autofilled with https://..., make sure your address starts with http://... this will trigger Safari to give you the option to authenticate the certificate again and everything should work.
