I have downloaded HUNDREDS of photos and I don't know where they are.

First of all I apologise for my complete lack of basic knowledge of my devices. I am a busy Mum and cannot seem to get to the bottom of my problem.

I have an iPhone 6 and the storage is almost full. I have a lot of photos and thought I could make sure all my photos are on my iMac and then delete them all from my iPhone.

When I went into the iCloud to download them on to my computer every single one came up in its own window. Hundreds of them. I ended up just turning the computer off. I now don't know where all these photos are.

My question is how can I get all these photos in the computer in a folder called something like, "iPhone photos" in iPhoto?

If my photos are in the iCloud can I just delete all my photos on my iPhone anyway and they will still be in the cloud?

I have so many precious photos of my late mother and am nervous of losing them.

Rosie,

First try a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. You will not lose anything.

If the above does not allow you record still, connect your iPhone to your computer, open iTunes, select the phone and on the Summary page that opens there will be a usage bar at the bottom. How much open storage does it show? How much does it show for Other?
