address change problems

I am trying to change my billing address in iTunes Store. I'm required to update my credit card info. I key that in and continue to the address change and hit enter. Apple says my card is denied. My bank for the credit card says all is well and has no explanation for a rejection. Naturally, I cannot call anyone at Apple and can't even email them because this is NOT about a order number. As usual, it's Apple's horrible customer service at work. Any suggestions about how to fix this since I can't ask Apple directly? Many thanks.

Well, not sure why you "can't call Apple". The iTunes Support link has options you can select that will get you to the support call/chat option screen. So, that is not "horrible service", just a misunderstanding on your part as to how to use the link and get to the service page.


As far as the Address change goes, if the Credit Card you are using has a different billing address than the one you are putting in, then it is going to say that it is denied. Is the address on your bank statement exactly the same (in every way) as the one you are attempting to change to?

Using the iTunes Support link on this page:

You get this page:


User uploaded file


As you can see, this is not limited to "an order number".


Then you go to this page:


User uploaded file

Where you have at least three viable options to choose from.



Each one goes to a different set of support options ranging from:


Email only (Your Credit Card was Declined)


to:


Email, Chat, Talk to Support Now, Schedule a Call (iTunes Store Account Billing)
