How can I make my iBook widget text selectable?

Hello,

I'm using iAd producer version 5.1 in Yosemite version 10.10.5 and iBooks Author version 2.4. I'm trying to create widgets using iAd Producer for an iBook I'm creating and I want to have text in the widget that the user can select and copy+paste into a text box if they so choose. I've been trying to use the "Label" object to accomplish this but it doesn't seem to work. I've also tried just adding the text in an HTML object in the widget but no joy there either. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can get around the problem?
