Yahoo mail problem

Help!!! I've been using iOS mail without issue for about 5 years with the same email account(BT/Yahoo). Yesterday it wouldn't import any mail saying that my password wasn't recognised. I deleted the account and tried reinstalling. No success. Yahoo tab asked me to input email and password then returned to initial page in settings. I can access the account via yahoo app(which is rubbish) and via PC without problems. 3 hours on phone/ online chat with BT without success. I also installed the account manually however no sign of sent mail, notes or contacts. Any help greatly received!!!
