iTunes No Longer Recognizes iPod Classic 7th Gen

It used to work beautifully! Now, when I open iTunes (12.3.2.35) and plug in my 7th Generation iPod Classic, iTunes can't find it. The iPod icon no longer shows up in the top left corner. Nothing has changed except doing regular updates. I have tried restarting my computer. Doing a hard reset on the iPod Classic. And verifying the hard drive with Disk First Aid. Nothing :-(

Any suggestions??

Thanks!

Not clear what that means. Are you saying you tried First Aid and "nothing" was found to be wrong (so the iPod appears in Disk Utility's sidebar)? Or are you saying that the iPod does not appear in Disk Utility, so you cannot run First Aid on it?

Your profile info says "10.6.5" is your OS X version, but that's outdated (because your iTunes version would not be 12.3.2.35). What is your current OS X version?
