Hello, I have a 2015 macbook pro 15ich which my work gave me.
I have a strange issue where after a shutdown and turn back on my keyboard backlight and the magic mouse 2 do not work until after I login.
I have several other personal macbooks and none have this issue.
My quess is that there is a setting somwhere .com or somewhere that controls this feature.
any help would be appreciative.

Hello, I tried that too. I think there is some file or statement that controls this. I heard that having firevault on causes this which I do have on. Its a corp standard, but cannot test 😟 by unchecking it
I do not have a 2015 MBP, but tests on three of my MBPs with 10.6, 10.8 and 10.11 installed, all would light up the key board when the desktop appears. (I do not have the logon set up on any of them)

HI. Still same issue. I think there maybe a low level system file that may not have the Magic Mouse nor backlight to work. In my case they all work fine after I login.
any other thoughts or files I can check?
anyone ? Must be a .plist or .com somewhere where this is controlled.
Just like when you boot into recover mode. Keyboard light does not work in there either.
That leaves me to believe it's a file somewhere.

In system preferences bluetooth(maybe advanced) see if you have checked. Check for bluetooth mouse or keyboard at startup. As far as the backlight. The only solution I found was that if you have file vault on. Turning it off solves the problem.
HI. Good call on fireVault. I need that disk encryption Enabled. Plus I cant check it since my drive is encrypted.There must be a file that I can override to turn that on if that option is enabled.
ANd I did check the Bluetooth preference. All check and no go.
FileVault can be turned off in system preferences security, to check. And then be turned back on.
