Jan 28, 2016 9:32 PM in response to Jon Prierby Jon Prier,So I think I may be on to something with this. I have used this formula in a few different ways and it's not really getting me where I want to go. I need to be able to subtract the Credit column from the Debit Column but it gives me this error. Is there a way I can do this? I still need to add in the Date component but I guess I will get to that!
If I leave SUM out of the equation and just us the Debit column it shows a number in the cell however I need to be able to account for returns and other entries in the Credit column.
Thanks JP

check the required syntax for SUMIF(). You have SUM() where SUMIF() is looking for sum-values.
