Mirroring centurylink or comcast on apple tv

Has anyone been able to watch centurylink prism or comcast on their ipad via their apps and then mirror them on apple tv via airplay? I can't believe I'm the first to try this. Called centurylink support and don't really get any answers. Get a message of narrow bandwith when I try to airplay live tv. Thanks
