Q: 10.11.3 update totally wrecked my M Pro how can I rollback.

10.11.3 update totally wrecked my MacBook Pro! Apps say they are corrupted and won't start, Dock only shows 4 (out of 30) apps with generic icons, all other icons are missing, finder just locks up trying to list files and folders, how can I rollback.

I Can't start utilities (dosent exist like most apps), can't access App Store - totally crewed unless I can get rid of this update.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Thanks for the response Bob, from what I have read it is basically bad luck if you don't have backups - luckily I had a time machine backup from 10 days prior which (after 13hrs) actually restored and I was back up and running. I reapplied the update to see what would happen and it worked fine this time. Can only suspect corrupt files on my disk that the update didn't like or perhaps I should have run the disc check /permissions repair before running the update. One thing I did right was to allow time machine to do another backup BEFORE I done the restore, so when I restored back 10 days, I was then able to use Time machine to get back the files I had change/ added in the subsequent 10 days. Time machine gets a thumbs up from me!
