iPhone 6s and Carplay

Hello, I just purchased a Pioneer 5100NEX car head unit with CarPlay and had it installed professionally, and have an iPhone 6s. Both have their respective latest updates and firmware.

The bug is that Siri's voice doesn't come through while CarPlay is enabled with a lightning cable. It responds to my voice and shows "how can I help you" on the head unit, but there's no chime or Siri voice. However Siri's voice does work through the Pioneer when using just Bluetooth. And along with no voice, Siri's response through CarPlay is intermittent at best.

Ive tried troubleshooting the bug with Pioneer's support, and all the settings as far as we can tell are correct, but so far nothing's worked.

Is there a fix coming soon?

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated--Thanks!

Give AppleCare a call and provide them with the same information you did here and they will suggest some things. If they do not work ask them to escalate your problem up to the next level. Apple works with CarPlay vendors in solving these types of issues and this one may be with Apple rather than Pioneer but only they can determine that.
