Nano stuck in a reset loop

Help!!

I have a 7th generation Nano and it's stuck in the dreaded reset loop, saying iTunes has detected a device in reset mode. It keeps resetting over and over again. I had this problem once before and can't remember how I fixed it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and can't get it to go into disk mode. It's either a dead screen (full charge on the battery) or says "Okay to disconnect".

I'm ready to throw the thing because NOTHING is working!

Hi RunningKate1362,

Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

It looks like your iPod nano (7th generation) is restarting unexpectedly. I know this can be a frustrating situation.

If you can't restore the iPod because it's restarting (or have already restored and the issue continues), the device may need service. For more help, see the following steps from iPod nano (7th generation): Hardware troubleshooting:

  • Try restoring iPod nano (7th generation) by connecting it to iTunes and clicking Restore.
  • If the issue is still not resolved, please read this information on servicing your iPod.

Sincerely.
